Every time we start to think
The sun will never shine in the sky

To just sit down and cry

That's when an angel smiles on us
And drops a blessing on us all
To tell us life's not over just cuz
One leaf from the tree did fall
While our hearts may ache awhile
Life will not always be dismal and grey
And with our laughter, our joy and our hope
The pain shall eventually fade away

Remember to thank whatever you believe in
While you are lying at night in your beds
For life, this wonderful mystery
And all of its amazing threads
Focus not on the bleak parts that make it grim,
But live for the joy that may come your way
Live for the happiness you may seek
