Losing Control (Down onMy Luck)

This song is about a man that was married and cheated on. Now he has to make ends me because he is taking care of his children and the family dog. This is sort an pop/rock/mid-country sort of song... I like it...

I've got,
Fifty-seven dollars,
And not enough cash...
I've got,
Two little daughters,
And a dog named Dash...
I've got,
A nice little home,
On the south side of town...
But ever since,
I divorced her,
I've been really down...
She took all my money,
And left me for broke...
The fridge ain't full,
Just mustard and Coke...
Well it's not my fault,
She cheated on me,
I'm a decent man,
Now that she can't see...

Somebody help me...I'm losing control...
It's gonna take me...I'm losing my soul...
Somebody help me...Can you spare me a dime?
It's taking me...Not enough time...

Just sorta...down on my luck...
Just sorta...down on my luck...

I hope your happy,
With your new guy...
He works at the office,
I'm at Best Buy...
But at least one of us,
Is taking control...
Got family to raise;
Dash, Betty, and Jo...
It's getting harder,
Just to provide...
I can't shop at Sears,
No softer side...
It's back to Goodwill,
For a third pair of shoes...
Stretching a dollar,
Is giving me the blues...

Somebody help me...I'm losing control...
It's gonna take me...I'm losing my soul...
Somebody help me...Can you spare me a dime?
It's taking me...Not enough time...

Just sorta...down on my luck...
Just sorta...down on my luck...

Well I bought that ticket,
For the grand prize...
I scratched the surface;
Couldn't believe my eyes...
I just won some money...
A million, in fact,
Forget you lady,
I'm not letting you back...
I'm moving into,
My new place...
It has a pool, gym room,
And a fireplace...
Now my daughters will grow,
Not to be like you,
They'll grow very smart,
And not be poor fools...

I don't need no help...I'm rich as hell...
I'm living in luxury...No more crack to sell...
I don't need no help...I'm laughing at her...
I'm spending money...It's what I deserve...

Just sorta...Up on my luck...
Just sorta...Up on my luck...
