"Welcome Back, Commander Clairol"

Well, you have returned,
and I am saying hello,
although I am concerned,
as me you do not know.

Thanatos is my name,
and Mortis is my horse,
I didn't greet you when you came,
because that chain grew coarse.

So now I say,"Welcome back!"
and please don't be alarmed,
For poetry I have a knack,
but no one has been harmed...

By the low quality of my work,
but I am not that vane,
I think that I came close with Lerk,
with an incredibly bad chain...

As for my poem; the end is near,
and everyone is glad,
unlike you; while you weren't here,
everyone was sad.
