Come walk with me
down the moonlit path
The stars shining bright
in a universe vast
We are but a moment
a blink of an eye
You are my soul mate
in this space and time
A wall that surrounds us
and keeps us contained
Our world full of colors
from glass that is stained
the blood red streaks
from a heart that is pained...
I melt at your gaze
come alive at your touch
Your lips brush my cheek
You give me a rush
And the dance, it goes on
as it has for awhile
so bold like a stallion
looks, charm and style
You know of your possessions
and use them as tools
my defenses are useless
I feel like a fool
The fool to believe
still I dared to dream
and wished on a rainbow
that was not what it seemed
Such brilliant colors,
a spectacular view..
Then the colors all faded
and then I saw you
A bright shiny star
In an empty moonlit sky
that will stay in my heart
'til the day that I die.
