"Inner Indecision"
(Just a contemplation about life. It's really about a man who commits suicide, only to find that his hell, was the same as his life.)
Walking alone
On a road of
inner indecision.
Soft, sultry eyes
Peering at you
Beneath the velvet
Of untouched night.
Cool water
Splashing into a pond
Off to your right,
With the echoing sound, of finality.
Someone's humming
Reaches your ear
From somewhere
Close by.
A hand touches
Your shoulder
Ever so gently,
Like a chilling breeze.
You don't turn your head
But you know
Who is beside you
Who yields the staff of death.
He is not your friend
Nor anyone you've ever met before
Yet you let his hand guide you,
Lead you toward your destination.
You see an opening,
Straight ahead.
The cerebus that guards those gates,
Awaits your entry.
Your breath
Does not quicken,
Nor do your thoughts
Take on a panicked tone.
This is your end,
You’ve known it for a while now,
And you are not afraid
Of whatever is to come.
Passing through the gates,
That the cerebus guards,
You feel a sense of relief,
Of peace.
Your companion
Leaves you now,
And you notice a strange
Familiarity in your surroundings.
Just like before,
You are walking alone,
On a road of
Inner indecision.
